In the late ’90s, I was privileged to be part of a team at Glad Tidings Church in Lake Charles. While building a church on the cutting edge, Pastor John Bosman put together a diverse staff that helped to change “church” in the region.
And, he had nicknames for each of his staff. I well remember where we were standing in the new church building when Pastor Bosman stopped me and said, “I don’t believe we have a nickname for you”. Minutes later, after going through a few names, he landed on Chipalatta. And it has stuck.
He still calls me that and it’s a name I’ve used often. You can email me anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org
Welcome to Chipalatta. You’re home now.
